WELCOME TO THE KIWANIS CLUB OF PORTLAND !
Our club is very active in the Greater Portland community. We invite you to browse through this site, and perhaps to join us at a meeting or at one of our upcoming events!
The Portland Kiwanis Club is dedicated to helping those less fortunate, especially children. We support projects for underprivileged children, as well as work with a number of local agencies to help area youth or individual requests.
We sponsor seven youth levels of the Kiwanis Family, known as Sponsored Groups. These include Key Clubs at five local high schools, a Circle K club at the University of Southern Maine, and an AKTION Club with STRIVE.
The Kiwanis Club awards scholarships regularly to further the education of local area youth. The Portland Kiwanis Club also recognizes outstanding contributions to the community through Awards such as our Distinguished Youth Awards, Distinguished Citizen Awards and Public Servant of the Year Awards.
